Silence is Golden

Don't mistake my silence for inactivity!

There are many things afoot these days. Between whispered epiphanies and glimmers of possibility, between the restless wordless nights and the frenzied unfathomable days, between a quest for satisfaction and a fear of reversion...

I have existed in that place, and continue to do so.

The snow melts. It threatens to return, but Spring will win out in the end.

My chest beats with purpose and the fire of inspiration... but my tongue remains still until I know where my feet stand (when they aren't lifting off the ground).

My heart screams poetry, but my mind warns caution.

Words demand release, but my feeble fingers cannot give them shape. My unpracticed lips cannot give them voice.

I must clean.

I must clear away.

I must recreate myself.

I am ready for it all...

...and scared to death.
